At The Fungis 555, we are passionate about providing a truly magical experience for our clients. Our bespoke training and delivery engages in role play, nature art, team building, and problem-solving skills. We believe in reminding adults what it's like to be young and play, to have the time to think, feel, observe nature, create with nature and explore.

 Forest School Leader Level 3 training offers you a one year course that comprises of:

  • five days face to face initial training

  • skills and knowledge to set up your own Forest School

  • learn how to use tools; light fires; forage for food; cook the food on the fire (and eat it!)build shelters!

  • complete five assignments, which cover the paperwork you need to deliver Forest School

  • two days online or face to face mentor support;

  • guidance on how to weave Forest School through your curriculum

  • you will learn the benefits and value of bringing Forest School to your children and how to measure the success and how to share this with stakeholders;

  • develop a five year plan, risk assessments, policy and handbook

  • receive a one day observation and support in your own Forest School setting.

  • Wow! All that and you have oodles of fun and memorable experiences along the way with likeminded people!

Meet Our Team

Our team at The Fungis 555 is made up of dedicated individuals who are deeply committed to our mission of delivering magical forest school experiences. Each member brings their own unique talents and expertise to create a truly unforgettable learning environment for our clients. Fungis was founded by Claire Tjaveondja. She is passionate about giving children the wild free experiences she had when she was young. Claire has fourteen years Forest School experience and been a nursery and primary school head teacher. Claire is a qualified Mental Health Lead. As an ex primary and nursery school head teacher she has vast experience of creating curriculums through all subjects and from the Early Years through to Year 6 and beyond!

We forage with Colin Unsworth who is an ace mycologist and general nature genius and runs Forest Horizons.
